This is from my favorite illustrator, Mariana Massarani. She is my favorite, not only because she is talented, but because she is very nice and when I first started thinking about drawing for a living, I showed her my work and she encouraged me to pursue this. Her work is just like her: colorful, cheerful and absolutely original, many of her illustrations have different patterns in them, I chose this image because it has so many. Mariana enjoys creating clothes for her characters and now makes patterns for decoration. She has illustrated about 100 books and wrote 9 herself.
